Guramylay means “making a beautiful pattern out of diverse elements” in Tigrigna, the language of Eritrea. Eritrea is the country of birth of Germai Medhanie, one of the co-founders of Guramylay.
Our Mission
Guramylay: Growing the Green Economy educates consumers and producers about green solidarity economic values, practices, social relations, and institutions, and promotes the growth of the green solidarity economy. This emerging green solidarity economy is centered in socially responsible values and choices. These values include not only ecological awareness, but also a commitment to community, cooperation, democracy, justice, freedom, diversity, and equality for everyone here and abroad.
